If you’re concerned about your rights to name yourself, to declare your gender, to make sure that the family you choose is the family that is able to care for you, or similar concerns, here’s an excellent checklist. While some of it is state specific, there are similar provisions in other places; tailor it to your needs. But it may be important to get as much of your legal work done as soon as you can.
We don’t know what the future is, but we do know that we are stronger together as a community. Above all, stay healthy; our friends are going to need our strength.
